This beginner-friendly experience is designed for those brand new to Mahjong, as well as those looking to build confidence and deepen their understanding of the game in a relaxed, welcoming environment. It’s the perfect blend of learning, connection, and a little weekend indulgence.

The Mahjong 101 Experience

Your ticket includes a three-hour, instructor-led American Mahjong lesson covering the foundational elements of gameplay so you can confidently take a seat at any table.

During the class, you’ll learn:

• How to read and navigate the NMJL Mahjong card

• Tile categories and key terminology

• The flow of gameplay and essential rules

• How to identify winning hands and build strategy

• The rhythm and etiquette of social play

All materials are provided — including tiles, racks, cards, and fully set tables — so you can simply arrive and enjoy the experience.
