We’re taking mahjong… and turning it into a party!

This is a high-energy, disco-infused afternoon of mahjong designed to feel fun, elevated, social, and just the right amount of over-the-top — all in celebration of Julia’s birthday and her favorite thing: a full table.

Think beautiful tiles, layered tablescapes, music on (DJ Kate has the BEST playlist), “tinis” flowing, and a room full of women who came to learn, play, and have fun doing it.

HOW THE DAY FLOWS

1:00 PM — Doors Open
Arrive, grab a drink, take a lap around Keaton Place, and settle in. The music’s on, the tables are set, and the afternoon starts easy.

1:30–3:30 PM — Mahjong 101 Lesson
A structured, strategic lesson designed to actually teach you how to play. We’ll walk through the tiles, the rules, the NMJL card, how to build a hand, and how to make decisions at the table — so you can confidently sit down and play.

3:30–4:00 PM — Shop, Sip + Mingle
A natural reset. Browse, snack, catch up, and enjoy 15% off your Keaton Place purchase.

4:00–6:00 PM — Disco Open Play
This is where it all comes together. Tables full, tiles moving, music up just enough, and everyone playing. You’ll rotate in, find your rhythm, and start to feel the game click in real time, in a fun high-energy environment that feels like a party more than a game!
